Public Hearing and Adoption of 2011-2012 Budget

 

The Board of Education on March 29 unanimously approved the 2011-2012 school district budget for submission to the voters on Wednesday, April 27.  The budget allows for a $500,000 reduction in the local tax levy and is $3.4 million below the state-mandated levy cap. For the first time in several years, the budget also allows for the addition of instructional staff and increased capital projects spending.
